Ingredients

The main ingredients of this recipe are:

  • Flour: gluten-free all-purpose flour.
  • Eggs: room temperature eggs are better.
  • Buttermilk: or milk with drops of fresh lemon juice.
  • Oil: natural oil, like sunflower oil.
  • Peaches: fresh ripe peaches, but firm, they must keep their shape while baked. Do I have to peel the peaches? You can leave the skin on, as it softens when cooked and adds flavor, or peel them. To taste.

How to make GF Homemade Peach Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

Whisk together gluten-free all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the sugar, oil, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and orange zest.

Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until well incorporated.

Place half of the batter in the prepared pan and arrange half of the chopped peaches above the batter. Cover with the remaining batter and place the remaining peaches on top.

Bake for 45/50 minutes or until cooked. Keep in mind that all ovens are different. To know if it’s ready, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; it should come out clean, with no streaks of batter.

Let cool before removing.
