This GF lemon dessert takes only 4 ingredients. The smooth and creamy lemon mousse with condensed milk mixed with the GF Oreo cookies is delicious! Lemon and chocolate are a perfect match. The lemon mousse is naturally gluten-free and pair well with many toppings.
Ingredients
This recipe takes only four ingredients:
- Cream: heavy cream.
- Condensed Milk: sweetened condensed milk.
- Lemon: fresh lemon juice.
- Cookies: chopped gluten-free Oreo cookies.
How to make Oreo Lemon Dessert
In a medium bowl beat the cream until soft/medium peaks (mid point).
In another bowl mix the lemon juice with the condensed milk until well integrated.
Mix both preparations with a rubber spatula and involve movements.
Process the GF Oreos (or with hands) and set aside some cookies to end up the dessert.
Assemble the dessert. First a cookie layer, the lemon mousse, another cookie layer, lemon mousse and finally broken GF Oreos to end up the dessert.
Let rest for at least two hours. Take out the dessert 10 minutes before enjoying it.
Storing
You can make the lemon mousse in advance, and assemble the dessert at the moment of serving. If there are leftovers keep them covered in the refrigerator. It freezes very well too.
Variations
- Cookies: Replace Oreos with any GF cookie that you wish. Chocolate and lemon are a perfect match, but feel free to play with other flavors.
- Topping: this dessert pairs very well with many toppings, like dry merengue, and you can add a sauce, like a berry coulis.
