With five ingredients, that you probably have on hand, you have an easy gluten-free dessert that everyone loves. There are many versions of this dessert: coffee, chocolate, caramel, and so on… In this case, I chose a citric version.
This creme brulee is rich and creamy with a hint of orange. It is super simple and quick to make and it always makes you look good in a dinner.
Is a dessert that you can make ahead. you can prepare the custard in advance, and when is ready to serve torch them before serving.

Ingredients
- Eggs: room temperature eggs are better.
- Sugar: white granulated sugar.
- Cream: heavy cream. Is better a high percentage of fat content.
- Orange: fresh orange zest.

How to make orange creme brulee
In a medium bowl mix, without beating, the yolks, egg, and sugar.

In a small deep saucepan heat the cream and orange zest. Pour over the egg mixture and add the vanilla.
Sift the mixture and let chill for an hour in the refrigerator.


Preheat the oven to 300°F.
Fill the ramekins with the mixture and cover with aluminum foil.
Cook for 40 minutes in a double boiler until the preparation is just soft in the center.
Remove from the oven, let cool, and place them covered in the fridge.
Before serving, sprinkle with sugar and use a blow torch to caramelize it. Hold the flame just above the sugar and keep moving it round and round until caramelized.

Variations
There are many versions of this dessert, chocolate, fruity, with coffee… etc. And they are all good!! It is a dessert that never bores you because you can make a different version every time you are craving a creamy dessert.
Storing
Store the dessert in the fridge cover for up to 2 or 3 days. You can make it in advance, and then you only need to take it out of the fridge, sprinkle it with sugar, and use a blow torch to caramelize it.
