Effective September 25, 2026
As the owner of this website (the “Site”), Almond Yes (“we” or “us”) understands that
your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect from
you through the Site, and how we use and disclose it.
HOW WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION
Information you voluntarily submit to the Site. We may collect personal information
that you choose to give us, such as your name or email address. This happens, for
example, when you subscribe to our newsletter or leave a comment on a recipe. We do
not offer user accounts, and there is nothing on the Site to register for.
Automatically collected information. We automatically collect certain information
about you and the device you use to reach the Site. This includes your IP address,
operating system, browser type, the site that referred you, the pages you viewed, and
the dates and times of your visit. We may also collect information about actions you
take on the Site, such as links you click.
Cookies. We log some information using cookies, which are small data files that a site
stores in your browser. We use both session cookies, which expire when you close your
browser, and persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.
The specific services involved are described in the sections below. We reserve the
right to change this list at our discretion.
OUR USE OF COOKIES
A cookie is a file containing an identifier — a string of letters and numbers — that a
web server sends to your browser and the browser stores. The identifier is sent back
to the server each time the browser requests a page. A persistent cookie stays in your
browser until its expiry date unless you delete it first; a session cookie expires when
you close the browser. Cookies do not normally contain information that identifies you
by name, but personal information we hold about you may be linked to information
obtained from cookies.
We use cookies for the following purposes:
(a) Analysis: to understand how the Site is used and which recipes are read;
(b) Comments: to remember your name and email if you opt in when leaving a comment, so
you do not have to type them again;
(c) Security: as part of the measures that protect the Site against automated abuse.
We do not use cookies for advertising.
Most browsers let you refuse cookies and delete the ones already stored. The method
differs from browser to browser. Current instructions are available here:
(a) Chrome — support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
(b) Firefox — support.mozilla.org/kb/enable-and-disable-cookies-website-preferences
(c) Safari — support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471/mac
(d) Edge — privacy.microsoft.com/windows-10-microsoft-edge-and-privacy
(e) Opera — opera.com/help/tutorials/security/cookies/
Blocking cookies can affect how many websites work, including this one. Some features
may stop being available to you.
ADVERTISING
We do not run advertising on the Site. We do not work with an advertising network, and
we do not use advertising pixels or similar trackers to build a profile of you for
advertising purposes.
ANALYTICS
We use Google Analytics to understand which recipes people read and how they found the
Site. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_K46M0G0NPN, which record a randomly generated
identifier, the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and the device you
use. We do not use this information to identify you personally, and we do not sell it.

EMAIL ADDRESSES
We may collect your email address, but only if you give it to us voluntarily. This
happens, for example, when you sign up for the newsletter.
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to save your name, email address and website in
cookies. This is for your convenience, so that you do not have to fill in your details
again the next time you comment.
We will use your email address for the purpose you gave it to us, and from time to time
to send you emails about the Site. You can opt out of these at any time by clicking the
unsubscribe link in any email.
If you live in the European Economic Area, please also read the section below titled
“Additional rights of EEA residents.”
COMMENTS AND PUBLICLY VISIBLE INFORMATION
If you leave a comment, we store the name, email address and website you entered,
together with your IP address and browser user agent. Your name and your comment are
publicly visible on the Site. Your email address is not published.
An anonymised string created from your email address — a hash — may be sent to the
Gravatar service to check whether you use it. If you do, your Gravatar profile picture
appears next to your comment. Gravatar’s privacy policy: automattic.com/privacy
CLOUDFLARE
The Site is served through Cloudflare, which provides security and caching. Cloudflare
processes technical information about requests, such as IP addresses, for those
purposes. Any personal information obtained by Cloudflare is not shared by us with
third parties. Cloudflare’s privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
SITE SECURITY
Some pages use an automated security check provided by GoDaddy, our hosting provider,
to block spam and automated abuse. This check processes technical information about the
request.
KIT
We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to collect subscriptions and send our newsletter. Any
information shared with Kit is information you entered voluntarily for the purpose of
subscribing. Kit’s privacy policy: kit.com/privacy
NEWSLETTER
On the Site you may subscribe to our newsletter. The emails we send contain tracking
pixels. A tracking pixel is embedded in the email and lets us see whether the email was
opened and which links in it were clicked. We use this to understand which recipes
interest readers and to decide what to send next. This information is not passed on to
third parties.
PINTEREST AND SHARING BUTTONS
Our pages include Pinterest’s save button, which loads code from Pinterest. If it is
present on a page you visit, Pinterest may receive information about that visit under
its own privacy policy: policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy
Recipe pages also include sharing buttons provided by AddToAny. If you click one, that
service and the network you share to may receive information about the page you shared.
AddToAny’s privacy policy: addtoany.com/privacy
ADDITIONAL RIGHTS OF EEA RESIDENTS
If you are a resident of a country in the European Economic Area, you have the
following rights, among others:
(i) to access your personal data;
(ii) to have your personal data corrected;
(iii) to have us delete your personal data;
(iv) to restrict or object to further processing of your personal data; and
(v) to complain to a supervisory authority in your country of residence if your data
is misused.
If you believe our processing of your personal information infringes data protection
law, you have a legal right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
responsible for data protection. You may do so in the member state where you live,
where you work, or where you believe the infringement took place.
RESIDENTS OF CALIFORNIA
If you are a resident of California, you have the right to know what personal
information is collected about you and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal
information.
SALE OF BUSINESS OR ASSETS
If the Site or substantially all of its assets are sold or otherwise disposed of as a
going concern — whether by merger, sale of assets or otherwise — or in the event of
insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership, the information we have collected about you may
be among the assets transferred.
SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION
At no time should you submit sensitive personal information to the Site. This includes
government identification numbers, and information about racial or ethnic origin,
political opinions, religious beliefs, health, criminal background, or trade union
membership. If you choose to submit such information to us anyway, it will be subject
to this Privacy Policy.
CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
The Site does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children
under the age of 16. If a parent or guardian believes that the Site holds personally
identifiable information of a child under 16, please contact us at
almondyes.yes@gmail.com and we will use our best efforts to remove it from our records
promptly.
CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most recent version will
always be posted on the Site, with the Effective Date at the top. We may revise it if
our practices change, as technology changes, or as we add or change services. If we
make a material change, or if we intend to use personal information in a way that is
materially different from what this policy said when we collected it, we will give you
a reasonable opportunity to consent to the change. By using the Site after the
Effective Date, you are deemed to consent to the then-current policy.
