Apple and Blueberry Crumble (Gluten-Free)

Ingredients
  

  • 6 green apples, peeled, seeded, and cubed (Granny Smith)
  • 1 orange zest
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour (GF all-purpose flour, buckwheat flour)
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, diced
  • Almonds, toasted and chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Place the peeled, seeded, and cubed apples, the blueberries, and the orange zest in a baking dish. I used a glass baking dish oval. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl mix the cold diced butter, brown sugar, and GF flour. Rub together with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Sprinkle the crumble and the chopped toasted almonds over the apples.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
  • Served warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.
