About this recipe

This is a dessert that you can make very quickly with a few ingredients and it can help you if you have visitors at home. It’s also very good for breakfast or mid-morning…!!

You can make the cream and the peaches in advance, and assemble the dessert at the last minute before eating it.

I made it with fresh peaches but you can use plums, strawberries, or other fruit you have at home.

It’s the type of dessert that you can vary a thousand times and change the toppings according to what you have at home. You can serve it in cups, jars, or tiny bowls.

Ingredients

  • Cream: I used heavy cream for the best results.
  • Yogurt: full-fat natural yogurt. I used greek style natural yogurt.
  • Sugar: granulated sugar.
  • Peaches: I used fresh peaches with peel. You can use the seasonal fruit that you like the most.
  • Butter: be sure is unsalted butter.
  • Orange: the juice of fresh orange.
  • Almonds: you can use almonds, nuts, or the dried fruit you want.

How to make the yogurt triffle

Cut the peaches into eights (with peel)

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Pass the peach slices through the sugar and immediately brown in the hot pan.

Turn de peaches and add the butter, when the butter is melted add the orange juice to make a sauce. Reduce 3 more minutes on the fire.

Let cool the peaches at room temperature

Mix the natural yogurt, cream, and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a medium bowl and beat with a mixer until stiff.

Place 3 or 4 peach slices per glass.

Add a few tablespoons of yogurt cream and end up with a few strings of sauce and the caramelized almonds or sliced toasted almonds.

Storing

The ideal is to eat it at the moment or on the same day. It’s best to have the parts prepared separately and assemble the glass when you are going to eat it. If there is any leftover, cover it with plastic wrap and store it in the fridge.

  • 200 gr full-fat natural yogurt
  • 1 cup cream (200gr)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 peaches with peel
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (30gr)
  • 1/2 orange juice

Instructions
 

  • Mix the natural yogurt, cream, and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a medium bowl and beat with a mixer until stiff. Set aside.
  • Cut the peaches into eights (with peel).
